I like the idea of breaking into it via USB... and changing the client itself. We could also change the server (e.g. instead of connecting to AIM it may still say AIM on the client, but we can have it reroute to a terminal with different software). Another option is we could make an AIM bot so when we did connect, we just IMed this bot and got it to perform various functions.

with the software that comes with it, it allows us to enter a proxy... we can use this and create software as a filter to provide us with whatever data we need. it would still have to be through "aim" on the mx240a, but we can have it list the buddy lists/users however we choose and can therefore provide more menus that way.

The IMfree is not limited to aol, thats the software proxy only providing that. See the other messages in the Development board.
